Assam: Man Burns Down House With Wife In Nagaon District

Nagaon: In an unfortunate incident, a woman was burnt alive by her own husband in Assam's Nagaon district on Monday night.

As per reports, the heinous crime was reported in the Rupohihat area in Nagaon.

The husband allegedly locked the house from the outside and set the entire house on fire with his wife sleeping inside, resulting in her death.

The deceased wife has been identified as Marjina Khatun.

Reports further claimed that the accused named Sader Ali after committing the crime fled away from the scene and is currently absconding.

However, the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprit.
