Assam: Man gets 30 years imprisonment by Special Court of Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: The Special Court of Kokrajhar on Tuesday pronounced 30 years imprisonment and fine of Rs 10,000 to Naharul Islam (24) for raping a minor girl.

Government lawyer Manjit Ghosh told the media persons that Naharul Islam was arrested on the basis of case in Gossaigaon Police Station vide case no. 422/21 under section 120 (i), 4575/376/506 of IPC R/W sec 4 of POCSO act. Islam has been sent to 30 years of rigorous imprisonment.
