GUWAHATI: On Thursday in Assam's Kaziranga, a bus carrying passengers was involved in a terrible road accident that left several of the passengers with serious injuries. 

The incident, according to sources, occurred in Kohora when a bus collided with another vehicle while transporting a number of passengers. Some of the people who were riding on it suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. 

It should be noted that Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, will arrive in Tezpur to attend Kaziranga Gaj Utsav as the major guest. The President attend the festival Kaziranga National Park during her visit to the state, and she will launch the smartphone app "Bhoroxa" for women's safety.

In the early hours of Wednesday, a vehicle carrying at least five passengers met with a fatal road accident in Assam's Goalpara district, resulting in three deaths and grave injuries to a lady and a child.

Sources claim that the incident occurred in Dudhnoi and involved a fast Kwid automobile rear-ending a truck. When the Kwid automobile struck the truck from behind at a high rate of speed, the truck was travelling from Guwahati towards Goalpara. 

Three individuals, including the driver, died instantly as a result of the vehicle being smashed, while two more suffered serious injuries. When the police arrived, they found the critically injured infant and the injured woman. They were taken to a hospital right away for emergency care, and later sent to Guwahati Hospital for advanced treatment.

Anarul Islam, Nur Islam, and Biki Baishya have been named as the deceased, and Kalema Khatun and Muktar Hussain have been named as the injured. They told the police they were travelling from Guwahati to Mankachar to attend a relative's funeral.
