DIBRUGARH: A memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the AMCH (Assam Medical College & Hospital) and YSF (Yuvraj Singh Foundation) on Friday.
The YSF — an NGO funded by one of the ace all-rounders of internationally acclaimed Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh — works on issues related to cancer. The NGO will provide 100 ICU beds to the Pediatric department of AMCH, the premier Medical Institution in the eastern region of the country.
According to Principal, Assam Medical College, Dr Sanjib Kakati, the YSF will provide 50 beds in the first instalments followed by the next 50 beds in the last and final instalment.
Of the 100 beds provided to the ICU of the Pediatric Department of AMCH, Dr Kakati said that 20 will be full-fledged ventilator beds while 80 beds will be oxygen generated.
Principal Dr Kakati expressed his sincere gratitude to YSF for accepting AMC&H authorities request and donated 100 ICU beds to the Pediatrics Department of AMC&H.
