Assam: Meet on Republic Day held in Bokakhat

GOLAGHAT: A meeting was held on Friday at the conference hall of the Additional District Commissioner’s Office of the Additional District Commissioner of Bokakhat sub-district under the chairmanship of Simi Karan. The meeting was attended by chief officers and staff of various departments under Bokakhat sub-district, schools and colleges, NGOs, representatives of various parties and organizations as well as eminent personalities, senior citizens and a large number of people. Like previous years, several committees are formed to manage various programmes for the upcoming Republic Day this year. During the meeting, the Additional District Commissioner in charge discussed in detail the various committees and officers and employees assigned to them their respective responsibilities and directed them to carry out the works ahead of schedule. The Additional District Commissioner in charge of the concerned departments are ensuring smooth conduct of the Republic Day celebrations.

At the beginning of the meeting, a silent prayer was offered for a minute for the death of veteran journalist Jadu Kakatidev and the peace of the departed soul who met with an accident in Dergaon Balijan.
