Assam: Mini library inaugurated in Tinsukia

Conceptualized by the Inspector of Schools Tinsukia Bitupan Hazarika, a mini library was established by the Education Department at the premises of Deputy Inspector’s Office of Schools at Parbatia within DEEO campus which was inaugurated and dedicated to the booklovers and readers of Tinsukia by Swapneel Paul, District Commissioner of Tinsukia recently.

TINSUKIA : Conceptualized by the Inspector of Schools Tinsukia Bitupan Hazarika, a mini library was established by the Education Department at the premises of Deputy Inspector’s Office of Schools at Parbatia within DEEO campus which was inaugurated and dedicated to the booklovers and readers of Tinsukia by Swapneel Paul, District Commissioner of Tinsukia recently. In addition to providing cupboards and racks for storing books, a reading corner has also been provided for studying books. The library will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm from Monday to Sunday for the convenience of the public.

The inaugural programme was attended by Inspector of Schools Bitupan Hazarika, former chairman of SEBA Dhandev Mahanta, senior journalists Amulya Khatoniar, Tinsukia Press Club president Kamal Talukdar, retired Principal of Margherita Public Higher Secondary School Reena Khanikar and others besides officers and employees of the education department. The event organized by the Inspector of Schools was moderated by Assistant Teacher of Panitola Higher Secondary School Mansi Khanikar Barua and the vote of thanks was delivered by District Programme Officer Arati Das Barua. The library will enrich the beauty of the office while encouraging the staff of the office and the people of Tinsukia to study books, opined DC Paul.
