Assam: Miscreant loots at gunpoint in Dergaon

GOLAGHAT: A miscreant looted over Rs 1 lakh in Dergaon on Friday night. According to reports, the incident took place at the SBI Customer Service Centre near Dergaon. A young man entered the customer care centre with a cloth tied to his face and first talked about depositing money as an ordinary customer. Soon, he pulled out a pistol, and he snatched Rs 1.70 lakh from the cash box of Vijay Sharma, owner of the customer care centre. The incident, which took place in the evening, has created a sensation in Dergaon. The Superintendent of Police of Golaghat district reached the spot, and an investigation is underway.
