Assam: Missing Jorhat Youth Found Dead, Family Suspects Murder

GUWAHATI: A youth who went missing last Wednesday was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Sunday following which chaos prevailed among the people at Jorhat Sadar police station.

As per information, the deceased has been identified as Akshay Bora, a resident of Rajguru village in Jorhat.

Notably, Akshay visited Golaghat on May 25th and soon after that he reportedly went missing.

Last Sunday thereafter, his body was found buried in a field nearby the Kakodonga bridge.

Following the recovery of the body, local people surrounded the Jorhat police station and demanded strong action against those involved in the case.

Akshay's family members though resisted by saying that even after the missing complaint was registered, the police didn't take any serious action after the day of his missing.

They went on to say that it might be a pre-planned murder.
