Assam, Mizoram officials hold meeting

SILCHAR:  The officials of Assam and Mizoram attended a meeting on Monday. Cachar’s Deputy Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha and SP Nomal Mahatta as well as office of the Forest department represented Assam in the meeting held at Dholai police station while John LT Sanga, Deputy Commissioner of Kolasib and SP Lalrinawma Taite represented Mizoram. Today’s meeting was the third one in the ongoing initiatives taken by both the neighbouring States to resolve border disputes as well as to maintain peace and stability in the border areas. Jha after the meeting told the media persons that the main objective of such meeting was to hold regular dialogues to avoid misconception between both sides.
