Assam: More one-way special trains during festive season

GUWAHATI: To facilitate the movement of passengers during the festive season, NF Railway has decided to operate a few more one-way special trains from Guwahati-Jodhpur and Silchar-Udhna railway stations.

Accordingly, special train No. 05697 (Guwahati-Jodhpur) will depart from Guwahati on November 21, 2023, at 11:15 hours to reach Jodhpur at 04:30 hours on November 23, 2023. The special train will travel through Rangiya, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Khagaria, Mokama, Patna, Kanpur Central, Agra Fort, Jaipur, and Makrana Jn. The special train will run with a composition of 2-tier, 3-tier economy, sleeper class, and general seating.

Another special train No. 05680 (Silchar-Udhna) will depart Silchar on November 21, 2023, at 10:30 hours to reach Udhna at 14:50 hours on November 23, 2023. The special train will travel through Guwahati, Changsari, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Khagaria, Hajipur, Danapur, Mirzapur, Satna, Itarsi, and Jalgaon. The special train will run with a composition of 2-tier, 3-tier, sleeper class, and general seating for the convenience of the passengers. Wait-listed passengers of other trains travelling on these routes can avail themselves of the opportunity to travel in comfort. The details of these festive special trains are being notified on the social media platforms of NF Railway, a press release said.
