Going by the trend, it seems that the claim of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma which he a few weeks ago is going to be true.

In February, Sarma had claimed that the BJP-led state government had won 60 wards uncontested, including the municipality Board of North Guwahati & Sootea.

He further said that this is a reflection of the unwavering support of people of Assam towards the development agenda of our BJP-led alliance.
