GUWAHATI : A tragic incident took lives of two on Tuesday. National football player Manjit Rabha died in the unfortunate accident that took place 31st of January, Tuesday. The accident occurred in Assam's Goalpara district.

Along with Manjit, another person identified as Kurban Ali lost his life in the accident that occurred in Ghazapara road in Goalpara. As per sources, the accident took place as a result of head on collision between two speeding motorbikes.

It has been identified that Kurban Ali was a teacher. Along with the deceased victims, two other people received severe injuries. The injured victims has been recognized as Saurav Rabha and Parveen Sultana.

The duo were rushed to nearby civil hospital for medical attention. Manjit Rabha was born on 15th of November, in the year 2006. He was entitled under the Assam Football Association and pursued his career in football from Numaligarh Refinery Limited Football Academy.

It worth mentioning here that, last year, Manjit Rabha participated through the Sunrise team in the GSA football league.

In the month of January, a well known bodybuilder named Siddharth Borgohain died as a result of road accident in Assam's Lakhimpur district. The cause of incident was suspected due to low visibility because of heavy fog in the region.

The tragedy occurred at 4 am on 3rd January, when the SUV (a Tata Harrier) driven by Borgohain, bearing registration number AS22G7525 lost control and skidded from NH-15 close to the railway overbridge at Bhogpur, near Narayanpur. The youth icon who hailed from Assam's Dhemaji district died on spot.

His co passenger identified as Pulakesh Gogoi received grievous injuries. As per the reports, the duo was heading towards Guwahati on the unfortunate night.
