Assam: New Annexe Building of Holy Child English School Inaugurated at Jharnapani

JAMUGURIHAT: A new satellite school building of Holy Child English School located at Jharnapani, Samar Dalani was inaugurated by Htesh Barua, ZPC member of Nagsankar mouza, on Sunday.

In this connection, a public meeting was held in the school premises. The open session began with illumination of ceremonial lamps by the chief guest followed by the state anthem. Kumar Newar, principal of the school, forwarded the welcome address followed by a speech delivered by Moti Kumar Newar, chairman of the school.

Anjan Baskota, recipient of Sahitya Akademi’s Yuva Puraskar, graced the occasion as an appointed speaker. The session was also addressed by the chief guest Hitesh Barua. A total of seven meritorious students who passed the HSLC and HS examination, 2023 with star marks and above were felicitated by the school authority with gamosa, citation and a packet of book each.

The inaugural session was attended by Bhabani Kumar Sarma, Purna Kumar Sarma, Punya Nirola, Parbati Sarma, Nityananda Das, Ghanashyam Sarma, besides other dignitaries.
