Assam: Nine cadets of Sainik School Goalpara clear UPSC (NDA) written exam

GOALPARA: At least nine students of Class XII from Sainik School Goalpara (SSG) have cleared the written examination of the UPSC, National Defense Academy (NDA) section held on September 3, 2023, and brought glory to this prestigious institution.

These cadets are identified as Bedanta D Talukdar (School Captain), Ayush K Singh (Mess Captain), Gunjan Rabha, Rajiv Singh, Partha Baruah, Supriyo D Chowdhury, L James Singha, Tapash Sahara and Sumit Kumar. The cadets will have to appear next before the Service Selection Board (SSB) for entry into the prestigious National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla, Pune.

This is not the first time that the SSGians have succeeded in the UPSC (NDA). Earlier also several students from the school had cleared the same exam. The entire school fraternity, including the principal of SSG, Col Y S Parmar, SM congratulated the cadets on their achievements and wished them the best for their forthcoming selection procedures.
