Assam: One dead and nine injured in bee swarm attack in Morigaon town

MORIGAON: More than 10 people were seriously injured and one succumbed to injury as a swarm of bees attacked pedestrians in front of the circuit house around 9 a.m. today.

Dipak Nandi, a popular businessman in Morigaon town, came to his hotel ‘Quality’ as he comes regularly. But unfortunately, he was attacked by the swarm of bees in front of Morigaon Circuit House. He was immediately admitted to the Morigaon Civil Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Morigaon district administration closed Circuit House Road. The Forest Department squad rushed to the spot, and fogging started.
