Assam: One killed, 2 injured in lightning strike in Nahat Deodubi

DEMOW: In a tragic incident which took place in Nahat Deodubi near Demow, a woman died and two other women were injured in a lightning strike on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Mamoni Khamti, an inhabitant of Borguri Mising Gaon near Demow. According to sources, Mamoni Khamti, along with two other women, were planting shrubs in the Deodubi Pathar on Wednesday morning when the incident took place. The two injured women were identified as Tina Khamti and Champawati Khamti, both from Borguri Mising Gaon. The injured women were admitted in Demow Model Hospital for treatment. Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain condoled the demise of Mamoni Khamti.
