Assam: Orientation programme on NEP 2020 held in Biswanath

BISWANATH CHARIALI: A day-long orientation programme on National Education Policy, 2020 was organized for the Principals and Head Masters of Senior Secondary and High Schools, respectively, under Biswanath and Behali Education Blocks in Biswanath district at District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Sonitpur situated at Biswanath Chariali on Tuesday under the initiative of the institute as part of the Certificate Course on School Leadership. The programme was inaugurated by Samir Jyoti Borah, Principal i/c, DIET, Sonitpur while the proceedings were moderated by Senior Lecturer Chandan Kumar Bhuyan.

Lecturers Reema Borah and Dr Raj Kiran Doley imparted training to the participants as resource persons on various issues of NEP, 2020 including its structure, objectives, important features, pedagogy etc. They also dwelt at length about leadership qualities and other life skills to be followed by a school head in the training.

Rajen Sharma, Niranjan Saikia, Ridul Das, Hiranya Borthakur and others expressed their views on behalf of the school heads. Around 51 school heads took part in the training programme.
