Assam: Victim Pinky Roy's Boyfriend Pinak Suklabaidya Admits to Murder, Arrested

SILCHAR: The mystery behind the brutal murder of Pinky Roy came to an end as Silchar police finally arrested Pinak Suklabaidya, the 24 year-old boyfriend of the deceased. SP Numal Mahatta in a press briefing on Thursday said, Pinak, who was detained by Silchar police on Wednesday from his Lala residence, had finally confessed his crime. There was a love triangle behind the murder, Mahatta added. Pinak reached Silchar on July 13 from Bangalore where he worked in a private firm. However, he tried to mislead the investigation by producing a July 17 flight ticket. But the mobile call lists of both Pinky and Pinak on the night of murder showed that they were in Dhowarbandh.

On July 15 Pinky, a salesgirl in a local boutique went missing. On July 18, the mutilated body of Pinky was recovered from an under construction building at Dhwarbond in Dholai.
