Assam: Police Arrest Two For Smuggling Rhino Horn

Diphu: The Police on Saturday arrested two persons following the seizure of a rhino horn in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.

As per the reports, they acted on a tip-off following which they were successfully able to nab these culprits and also recovered a rhino horn.

Apart from this, some documents too were seized from Dokmoka earlier this week.

Commenting on the development, Superintendent of Police (headquarter) Nahid Karishma said," Following investigations, a father-son duo was apprehended from Kat Ingti village in Rongmongwe police station area."

According to Karishma, the duo confessed that they had brought the rhino horn to Dokmoka area and gave it to another person for selling it.

Following these developments, a case has been registered and search is on to nab the accomplice.
