GUWAHATI: Guwahati police successfully busted yet another fraudster racket in the city and has arrested three individuals in connection with the matter. Police nabbed two men and one woman for their alleged involvement in forgery.

The arrested individuals are identified by the police department as Nikita Tiyari, Jyotishman Lahkar and Rajesh Mandal. While Nikita is a resident of Guwahati’s Rehabari area, Jyotishman is a resident of Geetanagar and Rajesh hails from the state of Nagaland.

The three accused has been apprehended for fooling people in several areas of the state. The accused girl Nikita has connection with a mobile theft case which is registered in Paltan Bazar police station.

Police nabbed the robbers from Odalbakra area. Nikita is currently inside the custody of Women Cell of Paltan Bazar police station and the boys are kept inside the custody of Bhangagarh police unit.

As per the latest reports, police finds out that Nikita has been carrying out fraud activities in the region by impersonating herself as a real estate agent.

Police has registered a case against all three accused and investigation is on regarding the matter.

In a shameful episode, police detained two men from Assam’s Guwahati city for fooling patient in Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The arrest was made on 9th of February, Thursday, by a team of Bhangagarh police department. The duo has been arrested for duping a person in the name of medical examination in GMCH.

Police informed that, one of the accused is an employee in the hospital and the other is a medical representative. The story began after the medical employee took an amount of Rs 10000 from a patient in the name of doing a medical test.

Later, the patient noted that their was no sign of any sort of examination, hence, he approached the police to look into the matter and registered an FIR at Guwahati’s Bhangagarh police department. As a result, the duo was nabbed.
