Assam Police Recruitment: PRC Not Required For Applying

GUWAHATI: Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) will not be required at the time of applying for the posts.

However, PRC will be required from the selected candidates only after the result is published. It is to be mentioned here that PRC is not required for SC, ST & OBC candidates. 

Taking to the microblogging site, Assam DGP wrote, "ATTENTION, Candidates of a recent Police recruitment drive.PRC will not be required at the time of applying for the posts. However, PRC will be required from the 'selected candidates only' after the result is published. Pl note, PRC is not required for SC, ST & OBC candidates." Assam Police has released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 705 Constable (UB) and 1429 Constable (AB) vacancies in Assam Police Police. Recruitment rallies will be held in various districts of Assam.
