DOOMDOOMA: A vehicle said to belong to the Assam Police collided with a private vehicle causing damage to both the vehicles.

According to reports, a police vehicle moving at high speeds collided with another vehicle in the Doomdooma region of the state. The Mahindra Bolero vehicle without registration plates and bearing police markers hit a Hyundai vehicle bearing registration number AS 23 AG 3533. A total of three people were aboard the private vehicle which was hit by the police one

The incident took place at Rupai Chauding - Bijoynagar Tiniali of Doomdooma on the National Highway 37. A total of three people were onboard the vehicle when the accident took place. They mentioned that the police vehicle was at a high speed when the incident took place near their home.

Meanwhile, no details were revealed regarding who was driving the police vehicle, and why did it not carry any registration numbers. Local people of the region raised their concerns regarding such behaviour by the state police and demanded proper action against those from the police force, involved in the accident.

In a similar harrowing incident that unfolded late Friday night on Guwahati's bustling GS Road, an unidentified biker suffered severe injuries following a collision with a high-speed four-wheeler. The incident occurred near the Christian Basti area, specifically in the vicinity of Srinagar. According to sources, the collision transpired when a four-wheeler with the registration number 'AS01 FM 0371' collided with a motorcycle bearing the registration 'AS 14 Q 9001.' The impact of the collision was so forceful that it flung the bikers off their seat, resulting in grievous injuries.

At present, the identity of the injured biker remains unknown, adding to the mystery surrounding the incident. What is clear, however, is the immediate and urgent response from Dispur police, who swiftly arrived at the scene to address the situation. Recognizing the critical condition of the injured individual, the police acted promptly to ensure their well-being. The victim was promptly transported to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) to receive the necessary medical attention and care.
