Assam: Poll officials head to polling stations

HAFLONG: On Saturday, poll officials from 58 polling stations started to head to their various locations. Considering the road condition, long distance and remoteness, officials and security personnel of the polling station left the district headquarters by Saturday evening. Officials sharing their experiences said they are heading today considering the long distance though the polls will be held on January 8. They have to prepare themselves along with official work. On Sunday, another group of officials and security personnel will head to 173 polling stations.
