BISWANATH CHARIALI: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Borah attended a booth convention held at Kamalakanta Kshetra Rangamancha, Biswanath Chariali under the initiative of Biswanath District Congress Committee on Sunday with Biswanath District president Dilip Baruah in the chair. Addressing the party workers, Borah sharply criticized the government. He also paid tribute to those killed in the train accident in Odisha at the beginning of the meeting. On the other hand, regarding the Odisha train accident, Borah said, “Where has the safety of trains announced by the BJP government gone?” “The guarantee that there will be no train accidents is gone,” he added.

Speaking about the New Education Policy (NEP), Borah said, “We will study again how relevant the National Education Policy is for Assam,” adding, “Our government is in Karnataka, the education policy will be decided by the Congress government.” He also said that the party would hold talks with Lurin Jyoti Gogoi and Ajit Bhuyan regarding the opposition alliance at Tezpur on Monday. Earlier, hundreds of Congress leaders and workers took out a bike rally from Out Agency Point here to the venue to welcome their party president.
