Assam Pradesh Congress Committee seeks permanent solution to floods

MORIGAON: Under the leadership of APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) spokesperson and secretary Imdad Hussain, a group of people provided support and distributed sizeable amount of food and staple to the people in flood affected Tengaguri village of Lahorighat LAC in Morigaon district on Friday, stated a release. Under such precarious situation of flood and erosion due upsurging Brahmaputra river water at Lahorighat, Imdad Hussain through the Circle Officer has inked a memorandum to the respected Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi mentioning about the need for a sizeable rehabilitation package to those affected, a state-of-the-art cold storage facility for the agriculture dependent majority of the constituency along with seeking a permanent and scientific solution to the yearly flood and erosion in the place.
