DHEKIAJULI: The Sonitpur District Committee of Assam Press Correspondence Union (APCU) expressed deep condolences on the sudden demise of noted Aaj Tak anchor Rohit Sardana, The Assam Tribune bureau chief of New Delhi and member of Press Council of India, Kalyan Boruah and senior reporter of the Times of India Group, Nilakhshi Bhattacharjya.

In a statement, Haren Bhomij and Narayan Phayel said that the sudden demise of the trio due to COVID-19 was a great loss to the media of India and Assam. "We lost three great leaders of the third pillar of democracy and we express our deep condolence to the bereaved family members of the three great journalists," they said.
