Assam: Protest against inhumane atrocities in Manipur

HAFLONG: Kuki students’ organization, Hmar Students Association, Hmar Women Association, and Kuki Women Association of Mahur Block organized a massive protest against the inhumane atrocities and genocides upon Kuki-Hmar Zomi populace in Manipur at Mahur on Monday.

Hundreds of people took to the street of Mahur and marched to Mahur Police station and the market area then gathered at the Mahur playground on Monday.

The protesters vehemently condemned the molestation, parade and gang rape of Kuki- Hmar-Zomi and Mizo women by Meitei mobs, the killing and decapitation of David Thiek at Langza village, singled and targeted killing of Immanuel Hmar of Hmarkhawlien village, Cachar at AP and branding of the Kukis, Hmars, Zomis, Mizos as illegal immigrants and narco terrorists.

They demanded the immediate resignation of Chief Minister N Biren Singh, immediate arrest of chiefs of Arambai Tenggol Meetei Leepun, and investigation of all cases by NIA. They claimed that separate administration is the only solution.
