Assam Public Health Engineering and Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah reviews progress of JJM in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: Minister for Public Health Engineering and Tourism, Government of Assam, Jayanta Mallabaruah chaired a review meeting with the Public Health Engineering and Tourism department officials of the Sivasagar district at the Sukapha conference hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Sivasagar on Friday.

The minister took stock from the departmental officials about the progress of work on the ongoing Jal Jeevan Mission, especially in the Sivasagar district, during the review meeting attended by Jogen Mohan, Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, Government of Assam, and Sushanta Borgohain, MLA of Thowra.

The minister said that field-level inspection of projects of Jal Jeevan Mission would be carried out by SHGs in the coming days. He also directed that the schemes should be completed on time and all correct information regarding the scheme be submitted.

On the other hand, the minister also opined that various projects of the tourism department which are already being implemented in the Sivasagar district should be completed in the current month.

The review meeting was attended by Excise Commissioner, Government of Assam, Rakesh Agarwalla, Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav, Additional Deputy Commissioners Bitupan Neog and Karmadev Brahma along with social activists Mayur Borgohain and officials of PHE.
