Barpeta: An employee of the Indian Railways has been arrested from Assam's Barpeta district, allegedly for hoarding cash worth crores of rupees. Barpeta Police on Saturday conducted an operation and recovered cash worth several crores from the residence of the employee in question.

The employee, identified as Devraj Das, is a resident of Gandhinagar in Barpeta. He was serving in the Bongaigaon district. He was arrested after the recovery of the cash, which is suspected to be "black money." The police are yet to divulge more details as investigations are still underway.
