Guwahati: To re-examine the health condition of a former model who allegedly thrashed 9 PWD labourers in Guwahati last week, a team of 6 doctors of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to visit Guwahati Neurological Research Centre (GNRC).
Notably, after police summoned the model, she denied coming as she claimed that her health condition is not well. However, her mother has asked the police to give her two weeks time to appear for the investigation.
To check their health condition, the Assam government has sent doctors from GMCH to GNRC to re-examine her health condition.
In the meantime, the police have deployed strict security including four police personnel in the vicinity of GNRC where the model Radkanya is admitted in ICU.
The security arrangements have been done so that the reports couldn't be exchanged.
Earlier, following the orders from the Chief Minister, police officer Sahir Ali - who registered the FIR against Rajkanya Baruah – has been 'reserve closed'. Meanwhile, WSI Abaha Rani Gogoi has also been 'reserve closed' for the same incident. It has been alleged that Rajkanya Baruah was intentionally booked under bailable offences. Baruah had also violated curfew norms.
Notably one of the victims lost his leg in the unfortunate incident leaving several others were injured.
Meanwhile, GMCH superintendent Abhijit Sarma said, "The patient is now stable after amputation of his right leg. We will have to keep him in the hospital for a few more days. Other injured workers have already been discharged from the hospital on Monday."
Twenty-nine-year-old Rajkanya Baruah is likely to be
re-arrested soon after the CMO directed re-investigation in the matter. Dispur
Police summoned Rajkanya Baruah on Monday to appear in the police station.
Baruah is presently admitted at GNRC Hospital for medical treatment. Last
Friday, Rajkanya Baruah, a 29-year-old wedding planner and former Miss India
finalist, allegedly knocked down eight PWD workers on-duty in the Rukmini Nagar
area in Guwahati. One of the workers had his left leg chopped off when Rajkanya's
car rushed at him. His right leg has been amputated at Gauhati Medical College
and Hospital (GMCH). The accident resulted in the worker losing both his legs.
