Assam: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh lodges FIR against journalist Manoj Kr Goswami

JAMUGURIHAT:  The Naduar Chapter of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) lodged an FIR against senior journalist Manoj Kr Goswami at Jamuguri police station on Friday.

A news item was published in a vernacular newspaper on September 21 with a quote of the chief of the RSS, Mohan Bhagwat. The RSS alleged that journalist Manoj Kr Goswami had published the news item distorting the actual quote of Bhagwat that he delivered while addressing the students of a hostel in Nagpur. The Naduar chapter of the RSS further stated that instead of going into the root of his lecture, Manoj Kr Goswami misinterpreted the same and published it in his newspaper which created confusion among common people. The Naduar chapter of the RSS headed by Rajib Das and Khiradhar Hazarika reached Jamuguri police station and lodged the FIR.
