HOWRAGHAT: The ‘Rastriya Ekta Divas’ or ‘National Unity Day’ was observed in Diphu, headquarter town of Karbi Anglong to respect Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.

An impressive march of regimented forces was presented by Karbi Anglong police to mark the ‘National Unity Day’. Smart officers and armed personnel of Assam Police, Central Reserve Police Force personnel, members of National Cadet Corps and Home Guards put on show discipline, order and authority of the regimented forces.

The march was led by Sanjib Kumar Saikia, Superintendent of Police Karbi Anglong, Additional Superintendent of Police (crime) Nayan Moni Barman and other senior officers.

The march started from the office of the office of Superintendent of Police Karbi Anglong and after covering Diphu market finally culminated in the playground of Diphu Police Reserve.
