Assam Rifles organizes motivational lecture in Silchar

SILCHAR: The Kadamdila Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of headquarters 21 sector and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised 'a motivational lecture and COVID-19 awareness campaign at Bara Bekra area of Jiribam district on Tuesday. The interaction encompassed the ongoing situation in the area, once a hotbed of extremists belonging to outfits of Manipur, government welfare projects, guidelines and measures to meet the still lingering COVID-19 challenge and the strategy to defeat it.

On government schemes and projects, the villagers living in far flung areas seem to be ignorant and need enlightenment to avail the benefits. Often, they fall prey to touts and agents who deceive them in many ways. The motivational lecture was to focus on these aspects. They were also briefed about the upcoming medical camp and development projects. 35 villagers from different hamlets joined the interactive session and committed to follow the preventive measures against COVID-19 pandemic.
