Assam Rifles organizes Yoga camp in Sonitpur

JAMUGURIHAT: Assam Rifles Battalion under the aegis of HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organized a ‘Practicing Yoga with Locals’ programme at Lokra, Sonitpur (Assam) on August 17.

The main aim of the session was to practice and promote numerous kinds of yoga asanas and implement yoga disciplines into daily life. During the session, participants performed yoga zealously to excel in correct yoga positions and asanas. In addition to the yoga sessions, the event included interaction with civil persons and serving personnel and discussion on meditation, relaxation techniques and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. During the event the attendees were able to learn the techniques and benefits of different yoga asanas which was highly appreciated by locals and force personnel of the battalion. The event was attended by 76 people out of 39 Unit personnel and 37 locals with full zeal and enthusiasm.
