GUWAHATI: The shooting death of a person who was killed by police while being targeted as a potential robber in Assam's Udalguri district is shrouded in mystery.

According to Dimbeswar's wife, her husband was the victim of yesterday's shooting. She further informed that on Thursday, Kenaram Boro had visited their home and taken her husband. After some time, she learned that he had passed away and that Kenaram's family had laid him to rest.

She commanded that the body of her husband be returned to her house. Rowta police station at Daiphang Khuti stated on Thursday that, a robber had been shot. Kenaram Boro was recognised as the feared criminal by the cops.
