Assam: Sec 144 CrPC imposed in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: To prevent road accident during winter season, the Dibrugarh district administration promulgated Sec 144 CrPc in the entire district banning movement of e-rickshaws in National Highways and State Highways from 6pm to 6am. The order further asked the district transport officer and the police to ensure that the restrictions mentioned in the order should be strictly implemented. Violation of any kind will be punished under sec 188 of IPC.
