DIBRUGARH: The two-day celebration of Prophet Mahammad birth and death anniversary, Fateha-e-Dwaz Daham, and Eid- e-Milad-un-Nabi will be held at Iddgah maidan here at Garaham Bazar from October 7. The first day programme includes quiz competition, recitation of quran and Naat-e-Rosul etc. among the children and students of different zamats. To mark the occasion on second day, a seminar will be held on the second day of the celebration. The topic of the seminar is, “Misuse and ignorance about the principles of Islam is the root causes of rising of Islamic phobia in the world.”
The head of the department of History Rajib Handique and former professor of political science of Dibrugarh University (DU) Dr. Adil-ul-Yasin will speak on the subject as resource person. Head of the Department of DU Dr. Chandan Sharma will formally release the souvenir, Shaku (bridge).
