Assam: Shocking Murder in Jorhat District, 3 Members of a Family Found Dead

GUWAHATI: Three members of the same family were found dead inside their house in in Jorhat district's Mariani area.

As per the prima facie evidence, preliminary probe suspected that the women were probably raped and murdered.

According to reports, the deceased, all from the same family, were found dead inside their thatched house near a brick kiln at Khatisona area of the district.

The bodies recovered were that of husband, wife and daughter.

"The women were found in half naked condition. The deceased man was the caretaker of the brick kiln," said police.

The deceased family hailed from Sonitpur's Thelamara area and was living in Mariani for livelihood.
