Assam: Sivasagar District Commissioner inspects NH-37 from Jhanji to Demow

SIVASAGAR: Sivasagar District Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav on Sunday inspected the entire road from Jhanji to Demow in Sivasagar district for speedy solution of various problems such as the slow construction of the four lane of National Highway 37 from Jhanji to Demow as well as the poor condition of highways at different stretches, difficulties suffered by the people in transportation and frequent road accidents.

The commissioner directed the NHIDCL officials present in the inspection to resolve the issues and complete the construction work expeditiously. Additional District Commissioner Partha Pratim Khanikar, Additional Superintendent of Police, NHIDCL officials and contractor of the construction work were also present during the inspection. The inspection was conducted in anticipation of the upcoming visit of Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Bisa Sarma to Sivasagar district on January 24.
