KOKRAJHAR: A Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) was organized by the State Bank of India (SBI), Kokrajhar branch on Friday at Khanglabada field. The villagers both males and females numbering about 70 from near by New Laoripara and other villages participated in the programme. Through this programme, the villagers were enlightened about the social security schemes like PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, Sukanya, digital banking and Mudra loans.
Chief Manager of Kokrajhar SBI, Sudipto Bhattacharjee highlighted the forthcoming CSR activity of State Bank of India, in Gaurang High school, of providing computer lab, science lab, sanitary vending machine etc and from today SBI will adopt New Laoripara and soon provide them with solar street lights in the village, which will brighten up the area in the night and deter anti social activities in the village. This initiative is a part of the Saptarshi Scheme under SBI Foundation.
