Assam State Election Commission released draft photo electoral roll for Panchayat election released

BISWANATH CHARIALI: In view of the ensuing panchayat election, the Assam State Election Commission released the draft photo electoral roll online on Friday.

Accordingly, the draft photo electoral roll of gaon panchayats under Biswanath subdivision was also published online on Friday. The roll, published taking January 1, 2023 as the base year, is currently available on the Assam Government’s website. This was disclosed by the Election Officer, Biswanath in a press release today.

According to the press release, the voters can download the copy of the voter list by clicking on the designated website of the Assam government and going through necessary steps to check their respective names in the voter list. In addition, voters will be able to find their names by selecting the name of the district/subdivision (headquarters) and then including the epic (EPIC) number. To know the details of this, the Assistant Election Registration Officer/Election Registration Officer/District and Sub-Divisional (Headquarters) Officer can be contacted and the objections and claims, if any, can be submitted online between August 28 and September 12, the Election Officer of Biswanath said. The draft photo electoral rolls in respect of Gohpur subdivision was also published successfully as per the instructions of Assam State Election Commission on Friday in the presence of representatives of political parties, Circle Officer, Gohpur, representatives from Blocks, GPs and media.
