Assam State Training Providers (ASTP) Udalguri Training Centre inaugurated

UDALGURI: The Assam State Training Providers (ASTP) Udalguri Training Centre opened at Udalguri Nalbari amidst a colourful function held here.

Dilip Kumar Saikia, the MP of 8 No. Mangaldai LS, inaugurated the centre with a hope that the centre would impart necessary skills training to the deserved youths of the area. The centre has chosen 20 youths for data entry operators and another 20 youths for tailoring.

“There is a tremendous demand for skill training in this region,” said Sunil Basumatari, the director of iGrow training centre and also the Udalguri district president of BJP. Rakesh Boro, the chairman of Udalguri Municipal Board, also stressed the importance of training for the urban and rural youths. Rekib Ahmed, the director of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission, Assam and other dignitaries were also present.
