GUWAHATI: In the early hours of Thursday in Assam's Dhubri district, several school students were hurt in a head-on collision between an e-rickshaw and a fast vehicle.

An e-rickshaw carrying students who were travelling to take their High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) board examinations was struck head-on by a speeding car with the registration number "AS 01E 4732" in the incident that was reported on Indira Gandhi Road.

Together with the students, the e-rickshaw drivers also suffered critical wounds. LThe impact was so severe, according to eyewitnesses, that the e-rickshaw toppled and the kids were thrown from their seats.

After the tragedy, Dhubri Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) received a surge of injured patients for treatment. Local law enforcement arrived at the scene in the interim and impounded the accident-related vehicle.

30 March was the new date for the General Science portion of the HSLC Class 10 board exams. A new date for the exam was required because of the issue surrounding the question paper leak instances. A portion of candidates purportedly obtained access to the General Science (C3) subject's question paper before the test since it had reportedly been leaked.

A traffic accident that happened in Teok, under Assam's Jorhat district, earlier this month injured at least 22 female tea workers. The injuries were caused when the van carrying the tea workers lost control and tipped over on the side of the road.

Near the Meleng tea estate in Teok, the incident was reported. The tragedy happened as tea workers were being brought to the estate for their regular duties.

In a heartbreaking occurrence, a couple perished instantly in a serious traffic accident that occurred early on Monday in the Nalbari area of Assam. The pair was travelling to Guwahati in a four-wheeler with the registration number AS-01 EZ 4055 when it lost control and struck a tree in the Mugkuchi district of Nalbari, according to sources.

The couple perished at the scene of the collision. It is known that they were carrying their newborn baby, who just about made it out alive. The neighbourhood residents saved the infant, who was in severe condition, and took him or her right away to a hospital nearby for treatment.
