GORESWAR: The Mission Directorate, Jal Jeevan Mission envisages to work in tandem with the Samagra Siksha Abhiyan of the Education Department and other stakeholders to promote Jal Jeevan Mission in a novel way. This initiative is looking at spearheading the activity through the involvement of students of High School and Higher Secondary School as the change makers to disseminate the ideas and objectives of JJM using the mode of street plays.

The primary goal of a street play is not only to take the message of the Mission to a larger group of people but also to ensure that the messages of the Mission remain at the top of the mind of every beneficiary. This will not just help to create a sense of awareness among the masses but is also expected to increase the Call to Action (CTA) and ensure larger participation of the beneficiaries in the mission at the grassroots level.

Altogether 10 schools, namely Salbari higher Secondary School of Salbari, Baganpara Hish School of Baganpara, Padma Ananda High School of Tamulpur, Koklabari Higher Secondary School of Koklabari, Betna Kaurbaha Milan High School of Goreswar, Kumarikata Sr. Secondary School of Kumrikata, Arunoday High School of Barsimliguri, Naokata Milan High School of Naokata, Nagrijuli High School of Nagrijuli, Barapeta High School of Gobardhana have participated to achieve the goal of the programme and successfully completed the task in the Baksa district.
