LAKHIMPUR: Along with the rest of the State, the Swasthya Sewa Utsav - 2 (SSU -2) kicked off in Lakhimpur district too on Monday. On the first day of the event, evaluation of the healthcare service was conducted in 13 medical institutions of the district including Bihpuria Community Health Center, Bongalmora Community Health Centre, Ghilamora Community Health Centre, Dhakuakhana Subdivisional Civil Hospital, Boginadi Model Hospital, Telahi Model Hospital, Narayanpur Model Hospital, Siyajuli Mini Primary Health Centre, Harhi Mini Primary Health Centre, Dhaulpur Community Health Centre, Sonari Chapori Mini Primary Health Centre and Chapori Gaon Urban Health Centre.
A host of officers from various departments of the district and a team of doctors from Tezpur Medical College and Hospital played the role of assessors in the district on Monday. On the other hand, Syed Zahid Cristi, Additional Secretary, Power Department, Bhupen Chandra Das, Joint Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department, Jayanta Baruah, ASP, Lakhimpur, and Munindra Kumar Deuri, ASP, Lakhimpur, evaluated six health and medical institutions of the district as external evaluators. The event will continue in the district on next two days. The event has been conducted in the context of providing quality healthcare services as envisioned by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. During the course of the event, the health institutions have been assessed on infrastructure, human resources, and service delivery. The targeted health facilities have undergone internal as well as external assessment.
