Assam: Tanu Konger Memorial All Assam Inter-College Debating Competition on October 9

SIVASAGAR: Gargaon College is gearing up to organize the 30th Tanu Konger Memorial All Assam Inter-College Debating Competition on October 9. The college, which has been hosting the prestigious debate competition annually in memory of its first regular principal, Tanu Konger, takes pride in inviting participants from the different colleges and universities in Assam. A panel of experts is generally invited to conduct and adjudicate the competition. The debate competition has over the years seen some of the most brilliant minds engaging in verbal battle and enthralling the audience.

As informed by the organizing committee of the event, the topic of the debate competition this year is ‘In the opinion of the house, artificial intelligence has accelerated the intellectual growth of human society.’ Students pursuing UG and PG courses in any higher educational institute, college, or university are eligible to participate in the competition, and each institute can send a team comprising two participants. The best team shall be awarded the Tanu Konger Memorial Running Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 15,000.
