BISWANATH CHARIALI: In a bid to enhance understanding and expertise in taxonomy, the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Itanagar and Biotech Hub, Chaiduar College Gohpur have come together to host a three-day hands-on training workshop. The workshop commenced Monday with an inaugural address by Dr Mohini Mohan Borah, Co Investigator of DBT Government of India. The event, slated to run from August 21 to August 23 in ZSI, Itanagar promises to provide participants with valuable insights into the intricate world of taxonomy. In his inaugural address, Dr Borah emphasized the significance of taxonomy in various scientific endeavours. The inaugural ceremony conducted by Dr Raju Ozah, Principal Investigator of the DBT project and Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, was attended by students and professionals of various colleges, NGOs, researchers etc.

During the workshop, attendees will engage in interactive sessions, field works, practical exercises, and discussions, facilitated by experts from both ZSI Itanagar, Rajib Gandhi University, Botanical Survey of India, Zoology Department of Chaiduar College and Biotech Hub.
