SILCHAR: Assam Tea Corporation chairman Rajdeep Goala figures in the Indian delegation which would participate in International Visitor Leadership Programme in US. The three week long international exchange programme titled as 'Transparency and Accountability in the QUAD' would begin on August 8 and it would be organised in various cities in the US. Rajdeep Goala, former Lakhipur MLA is the lone participant from Assam. Public Affairs Office or American Centre of Kolkata based US Consulate General invited Goala, who is also one of the assistant general secretary of Cachar Cha Shramik Union, to participate in the prestigious exchange programme.

Goala is scheduled to fly on August 6. American Centre first invited him in 2020 but the programme was cancelled due to Covid pandemic, informed Goala. He said, the special feature of the exchange programme will be the demonstration of America model of governance and public administration. In 2017 Jayanta Malla Baruah represented Assam in this international exchange programme.
