Assam: Tragic Incidents at Guwahati Rehabilitation Centers Raise Concerns

GUWAHATI: In a distressing turn of events in Guwahati city, yet another youth has met a tragic end, this time at a rehabilitation center. The unfortunate incident came to light on a Monday morning and has sent shockwaves through the community.

The incident unfolded at the 'Loving Hands Wellness Society,' located in Sadilapur under the Jalukbari locality. According to preliminary information from reliable sources, the victim, identified as Rahul Ali, had been admitted to the rehabilitation facility merely three days ago, seeking help for his struggle with drug addiction.

The authorities at the Jalukbari police station were alerted, and they swiftly responded by recovering Rahul Ali's lifeless body. As per protocol, the body was sent for a thorough post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.

Currently, an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event is actively underway to uncover any possible foul play or negligence.

It is worth noting that this incident bears a haunting resemblance to a similar occurrence that took place last September. At that time, a youth met a mysterious and untimely demise at another rehabilitation center in Guwahati, 'Willing Way Wellness Society,' situated in Panjabari.

In the earlier incident, reports indicated that the young individual, named Bhaskar Muchahary, tragically fell from the terrace of the rehabilitation center.
