GUWAHATI: In a heartbreaking incident, two young lives were abruptly cut short when their motorcycle collided with a roadside tree in Furkating, Golaghat district, Assam, on Wednesday night. The victims have been identified as Bijit Bhuyan and Martinez Kerketa. According to sources, the tragic accident unfolded as the two youths were riding along a stretch of road when their motorcycle veered off the road and crashed into a tree, resulting in the instantaneous loss of both lives.

Upon receiving the distressing news, local law enforcement swiftly reached the accident scene, where they recovered the bodies for post-mortem examinations. This heart-wrenching incident underscores the need for caution and safety while on the road.

Tragedy struck once more earlier this week in the Palashbari region of South Kamrup, Assam, where two minors lost their lives in a devastating high-speed collision. Reportedly, the two youngsters were en route to a sporting event in Borihat on a motorcycle when the driver lost control, leading to a collision with an electrical pole on the roadside. The impact was fatal, and both individuals tragically succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

The young victims have been identified as Amlan Jyoti Das and Chandan Ali, hailing from Boriyapara and Moniyeri Tiniali, respectively. Chandan Ali, one of the victims, was a student in the 10th grade at a local school, underscoring the profound loss that has left their respective school communities and the entire region deeply grieved by the unexpected and untimely deaths. These incidents serve as poignant reminders of the importance of road safety and vigilance while traveling.

Earlier, a major road accident took place over the Bogibeel Bridge in Dibrugarh on Wednesday leaving one dead and several injured. According to reports, the accident took place at around 9am when three dumpers and one Tata Magic carrying passengers collided over the Bogibeel bridge. According to witnesses, a dumper tuck coming from Dhemaji side bearing registration no (AS06CC0146) while trying to overtake another dumper truck bearing registration no (AS 07AC0577) collided with another dumper truck (AS 06 BC 6669) coming from the opposite direction from Dibrugarh side.
